When Arcam introduced the Solo music system in 2004 it heralded a new generation of high quality all-in-one music systems with the original Solo music and later Solo mini redefining the category. Using more than thirty years experience of audio design Arcam went on to deliver a complete range of all-in-one systems including the world renowned Solo movie 5.1 and 2.1 units.

Arcam are proud to introduce the Solo neo, a music system with superb music performance and network audio capabilities allowing it to play stored music in a multitude of formats along with its internal CD player and radio tuner. With improved audio quality from highly developed pre and power amplifier stages the Solo neo offers a high performance, stylish and easy to use package that delivers music in a way that will thrill any listener.

The on-board network music player delivers superb performance from music stored on local network devices such as personal computers and NAS drives. It also allows access to the thousands of Internet Radio stations available when its local network is connected to the Internet. In addition, its USB port can play music from local devices such as memory sticks or hard drives while the duplex RS232 connector offers playback and control of iPods via the optional irDock.

The Solo neo doesn’t sacrifice audio quality for convenience. The internal 50wpc amplifiers perform superbly with the matching Muso loudspeakers but are also capable of driving much more demanding speakers in larger rooms.

The Solo mini consists of an Audiophile CD Player with a 25 watts per channel linear amplifier (not digital) combined with an AM/FM radio. CD and MP3 playback from CD discs, integrated iPod control via optional rLead/rDock, front panel USB input for MP3 playback, four alarm clocks setting.

As the name implies the new irDock allows full Infra Red remote control of all iPods and iPhone (including the latest generations) as well as allowing video pass through of any movie or TV show stored thanks to the incorporation of an authentication chip from Apple®.  

The irDock uses audiophile grade components and design techniques to deliver the best possible sound quality and is built from a high quality cast aluminum enclosure for optimum RF shielding. The irDock comes with a special charging on/off button, which enables you to play the iPod from its internal battery supply.
